J.D. Power Names Nissan Top Brand in Truck Owner Satisfaction

Nissan ranks as number one for dealership service satisfaction with their truck brand. This honor was bestowed on the manufacturer by J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Customer Service Index Study. Nissan ranked the highest among the various truck brands with a score of 886 out of a possible 1,000.

Five factors were evaluated as part of the study:

  • Service Quality
  • Service Advisor
  • Service Facility
  • Service Initiation
  • Vehicle Pickup

Nissan scored 48 points higher than the average.

Nissan Trucks

The lineup for 2023 Nissan trucks is quite impressive. Front and center is the Nissan Frontier, a mid-size pickup ideal for work and play in the city and off the beaten path. Powering this model is a 3.8L V6 engine that offers up to 310 horses.

The toughest of the Frontier models are the PRO-X and PRO-4X trims. These models include 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires, Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, and even underbody skid plates to protect the vital components from obstacles on rough terrain.

To keep you safe, the Nissan Titan offers premium features, starting with the Nissan Safety Shield 360. This suite of systems includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection to warn of potential accidents and to slow the vehicle quickly. Lane Departure Warning lets you know when you’re starting to drift into another lane, while Rear Cross Traffic Alert provides a warning if something gets in your way as you back up. Blind Spot Warning is another system designed to prevent accidents that happen in your blind spot as you switch lanes.

The Survey

Nissan beats out Chevrolet, which came in second, and GMC ranked in third place. Nissan’s score of 886 was over 30 points higher than second place and more than 40 points higher than third place. The study included responses from over 64,000 participants who were verified vehicle owners. They owned or leased vehicles from the 2020 to 2022 model years.

J.D. Power goes in-depth to ensure that everyone who responds to the survey is the actual owner of the vehicle. The participants answered the questions from August through December of 2022. J.D. Power has a longstanding reputation as a leader around the world in consumer insights and data-driven information.
