Compare the 2024 TITAN and TITAN XD

The Nissan TITAN is a powerful truck that offers a standard 400 horsepower thanks to its 5.6L Endurance V8 engine. If you’ve recently been looking at this truck though, you might not be aware of the differences between the normal TITAN, and the closely named TITAN XD. While these trucks are incredibly similar, they have slight differences when it comes to size and towing capacity. Evaluating Performance

When you look at these trucks, you’ll immediately notice that they actually have the same engine. The 5.6L Endurance V8 engine offers up to 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, and it comes standard on both of these models. This doesn’t mean that they both have the same towing capacity, though. The Nissan TITAN was designed to be a full-size pickup while the Nissan TITAN XD is a heavy-duty truck. This translates into the TITAN being able to tow up to 9,290 pounds while the TITAN XD can tow up to 11,050 pounds of weight. Their payload capacities are also slightly different, with the regular Nissan TITAN offering up to a 1,600-pound payload capacity while the TITAN XD can handle a respective 2,360 pounds of weight. As far as performance is concerned, if you plan on hauling a lot of weight in the future, then you may want to focus on the TITAN XD.

A Look at Their Size

Although these trucks share a similar name, that doesn’t mean that they’re the same size. They also have some slight differences when it comes to their drive.

• The Nisan TITAN: If you opt for the traditional TITAN, then you’ll find that there are quite a few ways that you can customize it. You can choose to opt for the King Cab or Crew Cab size, and it’s available with both a 4×2 or a 4×4 drivetrain. Compared to the TITAN XD, it does have a slightly smaller bed, at approximately 5’5’’.
• The Nissan TITAN XD: The Nissan TITAN XD only comes with a 4×4 drivetrain, but this means that you’ll have extra traction on the road. It’s also available in Crew Cab PRO-X, Crew Cab Platinum Reserve, and Crew Cab SV versions. As for its bed, it’s a little bit longer than the Nissan TITAN, at roughly 6’5’’.
