XTERRA AWARDED SPORT UTILITY AWARD BY NORTHWEST AUTO WRITERS

The Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) today announced winners of it’s 14th annual Northwest Sport Utility Vehicle of the Year competition today; the Nissan Xterra captured Best in Category honors.

Off-road testing includes hill-climbing and descent abilities, as well as ride comfort and low-range handling. Packaging, versatility and overall value for the money are evaluated through a comprehensive scoring procedure.

The event – known as Mudfest – has been conducted for 14 years, and is awarded by an organization of automotive journalists from throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada. NWAPA includes 39 voting members, representing more than 75 newspapers, magazines, radio stations and other media outlets.
