The Top Safety Pick award recognizes vehicles that provide superior overall crash protection among vehicles in their class and only includes vehicles with available electronic stability control. The Quest has received the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) highest rating – 5 stars – for front-impact and side-impact crash safety.

Perhaps the most controversial entry in the conservative Minivan market, Quest owners love their vehicle. Performing well in the frontal test is based on a 40-mph frontal offset crash into a deformable barrier.
